Buchan has been a part of the evolution of Rundle Place for more than a decade and is leading the design - architecture, interior design and experiential design - of the highly anticipated new entertainment and dining precinct.
Transforming Adelaide’s Rundle Mall, Rundle Place was designed by Buchan to draw new, international brands to the Adelaide CBD for the first time.
The $385M development of the former Harris Scarfe site created a strong retail connection between Rundle Mall and the Grenfell Street commercial precinct and comprises four integrated levels around a central atrium, with 70 specialty shops, a highly contemporary food court, the first Apple store in Adelaide, first full-line Coles supermarket in the Adelaide CBD and Harris Scarfe’s flagship Australian store.
Rundle Mall is currently undergoing a major transformation with the addition of a new dining and entertainment precinct – a first of its kind day-night destination.
